Carolyn Light Bell is a photographer, writer, educator, and actor. She holds a B.A., B.S., M.A.,  Educ. Adm. and National Board Certification in Secondary English.



As a photographer, Ms. Bell shoots primarily urban and natural landscapes, flowers, animals, old and classic cars. Her shows include Christo's Restaurant, Dunn Brothers Coffee Houses, Elder Learning Institute, Glacier Ice Cream, Joe’s Garage Restaurant, Minneapolis Art Crawl, Niche Retail, Pepin’s Big Yellow Building, Penny George Healing Institute, Sebastian Joe’s Ice Cream Parlor, and the Minneapolis and St. Paul Jewish Community Centers. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts Gift Shop carried her classic car cards for several years.

 

As a writer, she draws from a source different from her photography -  a “more natural, less crafted place that strives to capture the beauty of the divine.” Her photography was featured in the documentary, On Air, 40 Years of Minnesota Radio Talking Books, produced by the Minnesota State Services for the Blind.
